A video conference has been held on "The role of the compatriots living abroad in strengthening of independence and in presenting the realities of Azerbaijan to the world community" in Pakistan

Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan in collaboration with the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, organized a video conference dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the restoration of independence of Azerbaijan on "The role of the compatriots living abroad in strengthening of independence and in presenting the realities of Azerbaijan to the world community" in order to get the latest information on the activities of Azerbaijani citizens living in Pakistan, their works in direction of protection of our country’s interest in the regions, as well as to listen difficulties which they faced and suggestions, to find joint solutions to their problems and inform them about the next military aggression and provocation of Armenia against our country.

The video conference started with the commemoration of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting the homeland and the desires and calls to continue the victories of our glorious army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Speaking at the video conference, Ambassador Ali Alizada brought to the attention of the compatriots living in Pakistan, the latest information on the next military provocation and attacks by Armenia against our country. Stating that Azerbaijani citizens living in Pakistan fully join the call "We are strong together" of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ambassador told that even Pakistani citizens always support it and expressed the satisfaction of the unity and solidarity of the compatriots at this important moment of our country. Stressing the importance of the media and social networks in conveying the realities about Azerbaijan to the world community, Ali Alizada stated that the activities in order to disclose the aggressive policy of Armenia, to convey the realities of Azerbaijan to the Pakistani public as it is, as well as the works in direction of further strengthen of Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendship with various projects, events, TV programs and interviews will be continued with the joint efforts of our compatriots living in Pakistan. Ambassador also emphasized the importance of conveying the voice of truth of our country to the world community in different languages by demonstrating more active role in their cities, including social networks. Ali Alizada told that aphorism of the great leader Heydar Aliyev "For me, to protect the independence of Azerbaijan, to preserve it and make it eternal is more important than my own life” is an example that always lives in the hearts and despite living outside of the country the heart of every Azerbaijani, beats with Azerbaijan and the Armed Forces of our country, and congratulated the compatriots living in Pakistan on the Day of Restoration of our Independence.

Addressing at the conference, Valeh Hajiyev, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan mentioned about the next military provocations and attacks of Armenia against Azerbaijan, the atrocities committed by the Armenian army against innocent people in Ganja and our other cities, the successful counter-offensive operations conducted by Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief as well as the activities of members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in the world against the Armenian provocations. Stating that Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations are based on sincere friendship and brotherhood, Valeh Hajiyev told that Diaspora in Pakistan is active despite the small number of the compatriots living there and the Committee is always ready to provide any support to our compatriots. The First Deputy Chairman thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan for the initiative to hold a video conference and wished success to the compatriots in their activities.

Speaking at the video conference, our compatriots also expressed that the counter-offensive operations carried out under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, to liberate our lands from the occupation created a sense of pride and enthusiasm in everyone. Noting that it stimulates to work harder to convey the truth about Azerbaijan to the world and the Pakistani community, they thanked for the fruitful video conference and congratulations.

At the end, a number of questions of interest to compatriots were answered and general discussions were held by considering their proposals.
